# LEXI Protocol Last updated: 2026-10-11 > LEXI Protocol is compliance infrastructure for crypto on the India, UAE and US corridor. It turns a licensed lawyer's co-signed legal opinion into a dated, scope-bound credential on Base that the parties it names can verify in one call. VARA first, running on Base Sepolia testnet today; the EU (MiCA) and India (FIU-IND) are V1, next up. Mainnet is targeted post-audit, Q4 2026. Status: PRE-LAUNCH · V0 LIVE ON TESTNET · MAINNET TARGETED POST-AUDIT, Q4 2026. Nothing is live on mainnet. Key facts. LEXI Protocol is not a law firm and gives no legal advice. An engine, in development on a proprietary corpus of real regulatory work, prepares the first pass as work product; it is never the opinion, and no AI signs anything. One assigned licensed lawyer runs their own diligence and co-signs each credential; co-signers are licensed lawyers only. The credential records firm ID, signatory, jurisdiction, as-of date, expiry, status (Live, Expired, Revoked), reliance mode (Open, Selective), governing law, a scope hash and an opinion hash on Base; the opinion body stays off-chain and encrypted, gated to named reliers. The credential is non-transferable; the token standard is undecided. A LEXI credential is not a licence, a registration, or an approval by any regulator, and LEXI is not licensed or endorsed by VARA. A relier verifies in three steps: the status is Live; the scope and opinion hashes match the documents held; the relier's entity is named and has accepted the reliance terms. Reading public on-chain metadata is free; reliance access is a fixed USDC fee. Economics. Services are priced in USDC; customers never need $LEXI. One credential covers one cleared jurisdiction, where "cleared" means a licensed lawyer has co-signed a scoped legal opinion covering it. 40% of protocol USDC revenue is used to acquire $LEXI on-market and retire it; 60% funds the treasury and operations; 0% goes to the co-signing lawyer, whose firm the protocol retains separately, outside LEXI. Licensed lawyers stake a USD-pegged amount of about $5,000 in $LEXI to be eligible to co-sign (14-day unbonding); slashing is committee-adjudicated for proven misconduct and capped; reliers flag disputes, they do not slash. Fixed supply of one billion $LEXI on Base, burnable, no new issuance. No $LEXI token has been issued. No token is currently offered for sale. What runs today. V0 runs end to end on Base Sepolia (testnet), confirmed 2026-08-04: documentation in, engine first pass, co-signature flow, credential minted. Coverage: V0 is VARA (Dubai). V1, next up: a refreshed LEXI Agent (long-horizon diligence, persistent memory, iterative agentic search across many rulebooks) plus the EU (MiCA) and India (FIU-IND), so one opinion can span several jurisdictions. V2, after V1: agent connectors (DocuSign, GitHub) and a standalone LEXI Verification Service API. US coverage is on the roadmap. No customers, revenue or partners are claimed. Contracts are audited before mainnet. Team. LEXI Protocol was co-founded by Lex Arbitrage (Co-Founder and CEO, @lex_arbitrage), Karthik (Co-Founder and CTO, @implied_vol) and Ben Dhaya Ahmed (Co-Founder and CGO). Lex Arbitrage is a working pseudonym. The founding team runs a working cross-border legal practice; LEXI itself is not a law firm. Identity.
